By Road
The shortest journey time from Bratislava is mostly by motorway and takes around three hours. At busy times this can increase to four hours. Once the last two sections of the motorway are completed (near to Martin & Ružomberok) are completed this could reduce to as little as 2 hours.
For driving on the motorway you will need a pass which can be purchased online on the official site here ... eZnamka (Slovak Motorway Pass). Passes can be purchased for 10, 30 and 365 days. There is a (one year) pass from January to January which makes no sense when a 365 day pass starts on the day purchased and lasts a full year.
